Area Manager (Sterling, VA)

Heritage Landscape Services, LLC is seeking to fill the position of Area Manager (Sterling, VA).

Area Manager’s key responsibilities:

  • Customer service, site management, multiple crew management and marketing. Area Managers provide direct support for the Branch Manager / Project Manager and Owners while working closely with field supervisors and crew personnel. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to marketing to existing clients and cultivate new opportunities for landscape maintenance contracts and enhancement opportunities.
  • Prospective candidate would interact on a daily basis with internal and external clients. Manage personnel and assets to maintain the highest industry standards efficiently and profitably.
  • Recruiting plays a key role in this position: staffing a qualified team that works effectively and efficiently is a top priority.
  • Set up and maintain production schedule and job costing reports.
  • Mentor and train personnel in order to produce a product you are proud to put your name on.
  • Interact with vendors: growers, mulch suppliers, seed suppliers and nurseries.
  • Manage clients and understand their needs on a daily basis and have the foresight to identify client needs for multiple years.
  • Site reviews – review site conditions to formulate additional enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with the clients and team members in order to renew contracts and foster a long term partnerships with clients.
  • The qualified candidates would be responsible for managing a portfolio of landscape maintenance contracts, profitability and renewal of assigned contracts through effective management and coordination of personnel, equipment, employee training and development.
  • Qualifications: 2-4 year degree in the studies of horticulture / landscape management, 5 years proven history of landscape site management to include management of crews and assets.
  • Salary + Sales Commission Opportunities- New maintenance sales, enhancement sales, subcontracted work performed by others, maintenance contract renewals, irrigation / watering services.

Mechanic

Heritage Landscape Services, LLC (HLS) is looking to fill the position of Mechanic. The applicant would be responsible for working with the fleet manager and would be working on a fleet of over 100 landscape trucks, trailers and landscape related equipment. Salary will be based on experience/education. Benefits include competitive pay, medical and dental benefits, 401(k) retirement program, paid vacation and sick leave for qualified individuals. This is a full time, year round position.

Job qualifications: Certificate in Diesel Engine Repair or a minimum of 4 years experience working on one-ton and non-CDL trucks (Ford F-350 – F-650). Landscape Management Supervisor

We are seeking individuals to fill the position of Landscape Management Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Landscape Management Supervisor is to ensure that our client’s expectations for landscape management are being met or exceeded. This will be accomplished by managing, coordinating, and monitoring the performance of the maintenance crew(s) assigned to them to ensure that our client’s and HLS standards are obtained. In addition, he/she will be required to support their Area Manager a variety of assignments.

The Supervisor would be responsible for maintaining various jobsites throughout Northern VA. Performing landscape management operations and working with / managing a crew of three to five crew people. We offer competitive salaries and benefits. Qualifications: two to three years landscape management experience, proven track record working within the industry and a clean driving record. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus. Plant Healthcare Technician / Turf Applicator Technician

We are seeking to fill the position of Plant Healthcare Technicians and Turf Care Technicians. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of plant healthcare, plant identification, plant pests and diseases on ornamentals. Strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).  Applicant must have at least three years of previous experience, horticultural knowledge, ability to communicate effectively with customers and a positive attitude. Applicant must possess a current Virginia Registered Technicians license. Candidate must hold an unexpired drivers license from a local jurisdiction from where they reside. Landscape Enhancement Supervisor

We are seeking individuals to fill the position of Landscape Enhancement Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Landscape Enhancement Supervisor is to ensure that our client’s expectations for landscape enhancements are being met or exceeded. This will be accomplished by managing, coordinating, and monitoring the performance of the enhancement crew(s) assigned to them to ensure that our client’s and HLS standards are obtained. In addition, he/she will be required to support their Area Manager a variety of assignments.

Performing landscape management operations working with / managing a crew of three people. We offer competitive salaries and benefits. Qualifications: two to three years landscape enhancement experience, proven track record working within the industry and a clean driving record. Landscape Maintenance/Enhancement Crew Personnel

We are seeking individuals to fill the position of crew personnel. This is a full time seasonal position no part time positions available. The applicants would be responsible for working with supervisors on landscape maintenance sites (mowing) and landscape enhancement sites. We offer competitive salaries. Job qualifications: two to three years experience with landscape machinery, mowing equipment and landscape installation equipment.  HLS maintains a drug- and alcohol-free workplace and work force.
